Amanda
Amanda is the owner/operator of Count Your Blessings Farm. She has been active within the horse community for over 12 years. She obtained her first horse at the age of 19, a greenbroke Warmblood mare, and is now successfully showing her in the Trillium Hunters and Low Hunters on the A Circuit. Amanda is very active in the horse community, currently managing the Melrose Meadows schooling show circuit, as well as participating as Executive Member on the Ontario University Equestrian Association (OUEA) circuit. She focuses on the hunter style of riding as she believes that every horse should have a solid foundation in the hunter discipline as it teaches horses relaxation, rhythm, and balance, and encourages confident and quiet riders. Amanda has ridden under a variety of upper level coaches and clinicians, including Natalie Smith, Cathy Inch, Tim Grosse, Kevin Sweeney, and Leigh Wheeler. Amanda is an Ontario Certified Teacher, and uses her knowledge and skills as a classroom teacher to optimize learning in her students.
Amanda's teaching philosophy is to develop educated and skillful riders, and specializes in young horses and hunters.
