2015

 

We are experiencing ongoing growth within our Melrose Meadows division. The Hastings Riding Club particpant numbers have been lower this year, and we need to continue netowrking to grow our network of western riders. We have added some great new fun classes in our western pleasure shows, and are looking at hosting an Extreme Cowboy show later in the season.

2014

 

With the last Melrose Meadows show of the 2014 season, we have reached the end of another great year! Please keep in mind that Saturday, August 23, 2014 is the Shannonville World's Fair Horse Show at Shannonville Fairgrounds. The horse show will commence at 8:30am. The class list will be posted under "Prize Lists" and entries are to be emailed to hastings.melrose@yahoo.ca.

 

The end of the year awards banquet will be held at the Shannonville Fairgrounds Rec Center on Saturday, November 14, 2014 from 12pm until 5pm. It will be a pot luck "lupper". HCRC will provide the main dish, but we encourage everyone to please bring a dish - desserts, salads, potatoes, vegetables, deviled eggs, fruit, pasta dishes, or rice would be great options. If you are really unsure what to bring, please email us. We are hoping for a variety of food items, including vegetarian and vegan friendly options, so please take that into consideration if you are unsure what to make :)

 

We have set a date for our AGM (annual general meeting) for those who wish to help out with the circuit, and for those who want to contribute opinions and ideas. We are looking for dedicated people willing to help run these shows, as the more people we have on board, the less time consuming and stressful it is for those who do run them. We have set the date for the AGM for Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 6:30pm. Please expect the meeting to run minimum 2 hours. We encourage those who cannot make it to send a delegate to ensure all opinions and ideas are heard.
